The Ryman Auditorium ~ Nashville, Tn.
The Ryman Auditorium was the vision of Captain Thomas Ryman. Known as Country Music's Grand Ole Opry and The Mother Church of Country Music, the Ryman was the home of country music from 1943 to 1974, and it witnessed such acts as Patsy Cline, Jim Reeves, Hank Williams Sr., Roy Acuff, Minnie Pearl, Ernest Tubb, Red Foley, Eddy Arnold, Pat Boone, Tennessee Ernie Ford, and Porter Wagoner. The Grand Ole Opry moved to its current location when the Ryman was no longer big enough to hold the growing number of country music fans venturing to Nashville to have themselves a listen to the radio show that started it all - WSM 650.

Acts still play at the old Ryman Auditorium and you can go check it out for yourself - take a tour through one of the greatest country music artifacts in Nashville and watch old country come together with new country. And some say that if you sit there long enough, you can hear past voices still singing at the Ryman. Freaky, huh?
